Beverly Hills, CA (CNS) – Valentino has been named as the 13th honoree of the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style award. The legendary designer, who announced his retirement in 2007, will be awarded in an April 2 ceremony at Beverly Hills street.
There will be an outdoor exhibition themed in Valentino’s signature red, as a tribute to the legendary fashion designer. According to WWD, the ceremony will coincide with the West Coast premiere of the documentary film “Valentino: The Last Emperor” by Matt Tyrnauer.
Earlier prominent recipients of this award are Giorgio Armani (2003), Tom Ford (2004) and Manolo Blahnik (2008). The first Walk of Style Award was given to Giorgio Armani in 2003. Since then, designers like Tom Ford, Donatella Versace, and Salvatore Ferragamo have been recognized.
