Johannesburg, South Africa (CNS) – Corporate trend analyst, design consultant, journalist and social commentator Dion Change of Flux Trends will be stopping by the 6th Annual Sanlam SA DAC Fashion Seminar on April 2 in Newtown, Johannesburg. The trend guru will be speaking to students and attendees about cutting edge trends and his global perspective on fashion.
The fashion seminar will begin on Wednesday, April 1 and end on Saturday, April 4 and will feature speakers from various fashion outlets. The fashion showcase will help to capitalize on local retail potential and will host annual summer collections and show the upcoming collections for winter.
“The new events schedule will accommodate the retail environment which requires a three-month planning and production process at minimum to function optimally. By introducing longer lead times between showing a seasonal collection and having to deliver it in store, designers will now be able to seriously engage with the formal retail sector and bring a stronger offering to the market, both in terms of range assortment and structure as well and logistical production and delivery,” says director Lucilla Booyzen.
