London, England (CNS) – Nike’s classic high top Dunks have been remixed with Liberty’s ditsy floral prints for a limited edition of the shoes. The remixed version of the Dunks and the Blazer in vintage Liberty fabrics has lead to a new style of sneakers.
The Dunks come in an intricate patchwork of prints, which includes Liberty’s Nina, Venus Leaf and Strawberry Thief fabrics, while the Blazers come in block Pheobe and Nina prints, Marie Claire reports.
The Dunk, which was first introduced by Nike Inc. in 1985, will be available in its new avatar from Liberty and Dover Street Market. They will also go on sale at Nike’s 1948 store from the 21st of February.
Before the Nike Air Jordan I, the Nike Dunk, which later influenced the Jordan I, was the team basketball shoe of choice. It was available in high and low versions in a variety of team colorways to match an uniform, and it came with a matching box and two sets of different color laces.
It is now popular with skaters, basketball players, and the fashionable alike.
