Nashville, TN (CNS) – Toby Keith recently announced his new TK Steelman clothing line. While Taylor Swift was in line to be the new spokesperson for the L.E.I. brand, she has created her own line of sundresses for Wal-Mart stores.
Women’s Wear Daily reports Taylor’s foray into fashion is not intended to last for more than one season. Her sundresses will be presented as cotton spring dresses that mirror the style associated with her public image. The first shipment to Wal-Mart will only feature three styles with two or more styles becoming available on March 1. They dresses will be affordable and will sell for $14.
Taylor says that it’s very important for her to create cute, comfortable dresses and they must be affordable in these hard, economic times. She says that making expensive dresses doesn’t make any sense in this economy.
While this is a new venture for Swift, she is still reaping the rewards from her music. Her Fearless album is now ranked No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 album chart. Swift is selling better than such pop acts like Beyonce, Nickelback and Britney Spears.
