New York, NY (CNS) – Chuck Bennett, head of IMG Fashion, parent company of The Daily, is retiring from his post. Bennett, who is also the Senior Vice President of the company, has resigned from his post after 28 years with the company.
Bennett joined IMG in 1980 as a sports agent and worked in broadcasting businesses before being tapped to lead IMG’s Models and Fashion divisions in 1992. When Forstmann Little acquired IMG in 2004, he was asked to stay on and lead the Fashion division.
“During the years we have worked together, Chuck has become a valued and loyal colleague and a trusted friend. He is one of the most successful executives in our company and he is admired and respected by his colleagues around the globe,” Fortsmann said in a memo, according to a press release.
“It has been an honor and privilege to have worked with Ted Forstmann and his management team,” Bennett said in the same memo adding that he enjoyed a ” successful, challenging and rewarding career” at IMG.
“I am looking forward to beginning this next chapter of my life and I hope to continue to enjoy the friendships I have developed over my nearly three decades at IMG,” Bennett added.
