New York, NY (CNS) – Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver front man has announced that he is launching a clothing line. Scott Weiland is partnering with Christopher Wicks, designer and owner of Rock & Roll Religion, to produce a line of contemporary men’s clothing. The line will be known as Weiland for English Laundry.
Weiland has chosen to partner with an experienced designer, Wicks, who designs and owns other music-related clothing lines such as “Fender: The Clothing Collection and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.” Weiland says he was inspired by rock icons like David Bowie and Keith Richards. He credits both with helping to mold his personal sense of style.
Weiland’s collection will include vests, T-shirts, pants, hats, ties and scarves based on vintage fabrics from the late 60s and 70s. The items will retail for $40 to $120. The collection will be unveiled at Magic Las Vegas on February 17.
