New York, NY (CNS) – Celebrity power sometimes helps bring more attention to causes worth fighting for. To help fight the continuing battle against HIV and AIDS in Africa, supermodel Gisele Bundchen has joined forces with Elle magazine and (PRODUCT) RED apparel.
Bundchen is set to appear in more than 30 international issues of Elle magazines wearing (PRODUCT) RED clothing and posing with products from companies who support the same cause: American Express, Converse, Gap, Apple and Armani, to name a few. Fifty percent of all profits go towards helping the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
Bundchen joins several celebrity endorsers, including Bono, Scarlett Johannson and Julia Roberts.
The fundraising for (PRODUCT) RED is doing is reportedly going well. According to its website, 2.5 million people were “impacted” by the charity, and money raised goes toward buying and distributing antiretroviral medicine to people dying of AIDS in Africa.
