Katie Holmes' First Pictures For The Miu Miu Spring/Summer '09 Campaign Released
New York, NY (CNS) – Katie Holmes has shot her first campaign for fashion house Miu Miu, the more affordable clothing line from the Prada. Holmes’ first of the two pictures, released by People Magazine, shows her wearing a stunning gold paneled dress with her hair scraped back.
The new Miu Miu spring/summer ‘09 campaign was shot by esteemed fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The shots have been described as “an atmospheric nod to a certain Fellini-esque chaotic excess, updated with the contemporary Miu Miu spirit,” according to Miuccia Prada’s office, reports Grazia.
The second picture shows Holmes clad in a belted little black dress, with her signature bob slicked back. She is also seen extending a hand into a roaring flame. “Katie Holmes joins the ever-expanding living history of Miu Miu inspirations, vital and modern individuals that shape and alter their surroundings through powerful grace,” said the company’s rep.
The release of Miu Miu’s images for their SS09 campaign comes on the same day that Katie’s close friend, Victoria Beckham also unveiled her campaign for Emporio Armani underwear.
This is Holmes’ first major advertising campaign. Vanessa Paradis, Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan and Maggie Gyllenhaal have all appeared in previous seasons.
