Topeka, KS (CNS) – Keeping pace with the forthcoming Thanksgiving weekend, Payless ShoeSource, the largest specialty family footwear retailer in the Western Hemisphere, announced the continuation of its designer footwear labels with budget-friendly tags.
Their latest designs would target budget-conscious shoppers and would feature collections from fashion designer Laura Poretzky, Lela Rose and a holiday collection by style icon Patricia Field.
The new collection has also been made keeping in mind the tough economic times and consumer’s need to save money without “sacrificing the style of the season or the spirit of giving,” a press release by the company said.
With a prices averaging under $25 per item, some as low as $5.99, the new collection features designer-styled shoes and coordinating handbags to kid-friendly slippers, backpacks, watches and hat/scarf sets.
The retailer is also focusing to sell special gifts under $10 that include fingerless gloves, patterned scarves, and woven hats in classic and gem-colored hues. Other choices for gifts include opaque tights, necklaces and earrings, “I Love Shoes,” branded makeup bags, totes, and umbrellas.
A large number of items are kept budget-friendly to ensure that every holiday shopper’s needs can be met — from winter wardrobe updates to gifting and vacation getaways, the company said.
As of the end of second quarter in 2008, the company operated more than 4,500 stores and the consumers can buy shoes over the Internet through the company’s Website.
