Rihanna Is The New Face Of Gucci’s Latest Handbag Collection

Nidhi Sharma - Celebrity News Service Reporter

Paris, France (CNS) - Pop singer Rihanna is the new face of Gucci’s “Tattoo Heart Collection,” for its latest television handbag ad. The campaign, which will go on from November 19, 2008 to January 31, 2009, shows Rihanna swinging the bag while running.

Twenty five percent of all handbag proceeds from the “Tattoo Heart Collection” will benefit UNICEF. It is the fourth successive year that Gucci and charity foundation UNICEF has partnered. However, the bags are not cheap and the Gucci python messenger bag costs an estimated $2230.

Racy Rihanna is currently a spokesmodel for Gucci and has been working with Director Frida Giannini on the brand’s 2008 Holiday ad campaign. In addition to the TV ad, a full-length film documentary featuring Rihanna’s work with the campaign will be available on Rihanna’s and Gucci’s websites from December 9th.
