Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – “The Hills” star Heidi Montag’s fashion line is being discontinued. Parent retail company Anchor Blue Retail Group has decided to cease selling Heidiwood even though it’s doing well in stores.
As per Fox News, the line was canceled because Anchor Blue is moving in a different direction and is expected to shut down around 40 stores in the coming months, and not a reflection of poor sales.
However, as explained by the retail company, Anchor Blue will be concentrating on denims instead.
Director of Marketing at Anchor Blue told People magazine, “Anchor Blue and Heidi Montag are pleased with what Heidiwood for Anchor Blue accomplished during this past year.”
“However, Anchor Blue chose not to extend the Heidiwood contract after the initial year as they will be concentrating solely on what their heritage, their foundation, is based on – denim.”
“They are very excited about an initiative they are launching in February ‘09 for guys and girls that will carry throughout the coming year.”
