Fans Don't Approve Of Katie Holmes's Broadway Debut Outfit She Designed

New York, NY (CNS) – Actress Katie Holmes may be busy starring on Broadway, but she still had time to design the outfit she wore to the opening of “All My Sons.”

Holmes, along with her stylist Jeanne Yang, designed a white jumpsuit that featured black lace at the neck. The look resembled something an Old-Hollywood screen siren might have worn, combined with white silk that gathered at the waist and ankles and resembled something Aladdin might have worn.

This isn’t the first time that Holmes has worn one of her own creations. She also wore a Holmes-Yang navy halter dress to the L.A. premiere of husband Tom Cruise’s film “Tropic Thunder” in August.

Celebrity News Service did a survey to see what fans thought of the white outfit Holmes wore to her Broadway debut, and most seemed to think she should leave the designing to someone else.

“The outfit is ugly. Combining a jumpsuit and Aladdin pants was not a good idea, or a good look,” one fan said.

Another said they usually like the outfits that Holmes wears, but not this one. “Genie pants, black stretch lace, a jumpsuit all combined. I don’t think so. This outfit was really ugly, hopefully she will stick to acting and not break out a fashion line,” they said.
