Los Angeles, CA (CNS) — Lauren Conrad, or LC from MTV’s hugely popular reality series “The Hills,” showed she can design more than just drama between her and Heidi or Audrina. She presented her 2009 Spring Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles.
Her collection featured short, scoop-topped dresses, floor-sweeping floaty dresses, and flirty flower prints. As a designer, Conrad easily showed more range than her acting on “The Hills.”
The looks were simple, with mostly muted white, brown and blue colors, and her young, rabid fanbase should undoubtedly take to its basic, clean looks. The pieces shown were reminiscent of both L.A. and Miami style, as well as Carrie Bradshaw-esque accessorizing with overgrown flower pendants and striking headbands.
The trendy twenty-something offered modern looks, but with a nod to retro as well with 50’s-style swimsuits.
Conrad is already a successful designer, with a best-selling celebrity line sold in various stores including Bloomingdales. Items from her contemporary collection were reported to have been selling out in stores nationwide.
While fans will definitely be able to get a piece of Lauren Conrad in stores, it is unknown if MTV’s “The Hills” will return for another season.
