Paris, France (CNS) – Designer Marc Jacobs certainly knows what short skirts look like. The skirts he designed for the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2009 collection are jaw-dropping lacking in length.
Jacobs showcased his collection on the last day of the Paris Fashion Week, featuring skirts that are shorter than your granny’s miniskirts. Some of the skirts even have a see-through panel for the buttocks.
He says of his collection, “There’s next-to-nothing, there’s almost-nothing, and there’s less-than-nothing.”
As if to make up for the ultra-flirty skirts, Jacobs’ tops were a bit more conservative, some with military jackets paired with the skirts.
The famed designer also focused on embellishments. His shorts and sleeves were sequined; necks, cleavages and wrists were adorned with jeweled chokers, pendants, and cuffs; and his waistcoats were detailed with patterns.
