Paris, France (CNS) – Rock stars’ favorite designer Rick Owen has given reverence to the Land of the Pharaohs with his spring/summer collection at the Paris Fashion Week.
His creations are reminiscent of Egyptian mummies with models wearing Ramses-like triangular headgears and short boots enfolded with a zippered leather cuff that flapped around their ankles.
The key body shape of the night was a straight, loose rectangle, with the bottoms, pair of baggy shorts with a drop-crotch, stopping just below the knees.
Also, Owens’ signature silhouette permeated the night with his dark brown, crocodile vests with sharp pointed hems, sheepskin waistcoats and dark three-quarter coats, with a series of three folds pointed like arrows at the top of skinny glove-tight sleeves dominate the wardrobes.
The coats then morphed into a sheer, black tulle cape, lightening the collection’s mood.
Among the front row guests who supported the designer were rock star Lenny Kravitz and his daughter Zoe.
