Berlin-based designer Bernadett Penkov returns to fashion week for her third season, contrasting masculinity and femininity in her collection also. Soft pale cream chiffon is toughened up with white ceramic accessories in futuristic designs. These included neck armour, shin pads and bangles made of the stuff. My favourite pieces of the collection were safari esq shirting, with giant pockets and simple black buttons, tucked into high waisted tailored shorts. Pretty, candy striped dresses in blue and cream, one with a nipped in 40’s waistline, had Tamsin Egerton (of the moment British Actress) cooing in her seat. The show was sponsored by triumph, who’s simple white and black lingerie was complimented by Penkov’s sheer overlay jackets. A cat suit made up of lace and white cotton/jersey was on trend for the season, while tuxedo jackets gave it a smart, tailored edge. A lovely collection, with some great statement garment’s and clever accessorising, my wardrobe is aching for a piece.
