Cape Town, South Africa (CNS)- The Virgin Mobile Cape Town Fashion Week kicked off on Wednesday, August 13, to a packed house of fashion fans.
The four days of fashion shows feature local Cape Town designers, including Cheryl Arthur, head designer for Hip Hop Clothing.
Arthur showed on the second night of the Fashion Week, wowing the crowd with bright patterns, and a chic bridal collection. Gabi Rosenwerth also showed her collection, Rosenwerth by Gabi Rosenwerth, on Thursday.
The last two days of shows are guaranteed to delight fashion lovers, with the collections Craig Port, Fabiani, Love Water Love, and Maya Prass being shown.
Cape Town Fashion week is not only about fantastic fashion. The theme of this year’s show “New World Africa,” is meant to redefine the continent of Africa in terms of a local and international understanding of the unique opportunities present in a 21st century Africa.
In its fifth year, Cape Town Fashion Week has yet to disappoint fashion enthusiasts and will continue to act as a platform for African designers.
