London, England (CNS) – Supermodel Erin O’Connor has donated some of her personal wardrobes in a special sale auction at Christie’s in South Kensington to help aspiring young designers and models.
On September 16, a selection of O’Connor’s dresses, jackets, shoes, and bags will be auctioned off. The items from the collection, with estimated starting price of $200, will be available for a free public viewing on September 13.
Among the approximately 30 pieces from her own closet are two suede and tweed Chanel bags, gifts from fashion great Karl Lagerfeld himself, a full-length Chanel coat, the model’s own Roland Mouret “Galaxy” dress from 2005, and a red jersey dress by Diane Von Furstenberg.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the British Fashion Council, which supports aspiring designers and models during the early stages of their careers.
