New Zealand Fashion Week To Feature Local Label World And Australian Designer Kirrily Johnston

Auckland, New Zealand (CNS)- New Zealand fashion label World will be the opening show for this years Air New Zealand Fashion Week. Head designer of World, Francis Hooper, took a four year hiatus from New Zealand Fashion Week as an opportunity to expand the label into international markets.

Hooper expressed his excitement to the New Zealand Herald, about returning to show in New Zealand, “We’re really pleased to have the resources and the time to show at Air New Zealand Fashion Week this year. It provides us with a great opportunity to showcase our international collections back in our home country.”

Australian Designer Kirrily Johnston will also show on the opening morning of the fashion week. Johnston will be the first Australian designer to ever show at Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

Johnston spoke about this to the New Zealand Herald, “Our label has received quite a lot of attention of late from New Zealand and we are really looking forward to bringing it to some New Zealand stores. The week has such a solid reputation and it’s very much about Australasia for us at the moment, so the timing is perfect.”
