Motorola Dublin Fashion Week Kicks Off Next Week
Dublin, Ireland (CNS) – Motorola Dublin Fashion Week kicks off Monday, August 25. The three day fashion showcase, now in its seventh season, will feature the 2009 Spring/Summer collections from a range of designers including, Eilis Boyle and Helen James.
This season of Motorola Dublin Fashion Week comes on the heels of the hugely successful February season of the Dublin Fashion Week. Besides the increase in crowds and media interest, February’s 2008 Autumn/Winter show ushered in some new traditions. The John Rocha Bursary Award, which awards €10,000 to a graduate designer to help develop their own label, was introduced in February.
This three-day showcase will also be a celebration of the Irish fashion industry, with the first annual Fashion Awards presentation in association with Motorola Dublin Fashion Week. The Spring/Summer 2009 Motorola Dublin Fashion Week is an industry event, open only to buyers, stylists, and the press.
