Dublin, Ireland (CNS) – American design icon Tommy Hilfiger will arrive in Dublin, Ireland later this year to appear at the opening of his Grafton Street store. Hilfiger is said to be visiting Dublin sometime in mid-November, for a two day visit, which will include personal appearances at both his Galway store and new store on Grafton Street.
Grafton is set to be Hilfiger’s flagship store in Dublin, occupying a four story building, originally offered to house jewelry giant Tiffany and Co. After Tiffany and Co. turned down the building; Hilfiger was eventually offered the building after outbidding fellow fashion retailer Massimo Dutti.
Prior to his store opening on Grafton Street, Hilfiger will present his 2009 Spring/Summer collection at New York’s Fashion Week. The designer will also continue development of Tommy TV, his collaboration with Sony/BMG Europe, to bring fashion and music together.
