Bali Fashion Week 2008 Kicks Off With A Street Carnival Of Models
Bali, Indonesia (CNS) – Keeping fashion in tune with nature, the 7th annual Bali Fashion Week has adopted the concept “Fashion Meets Nature” for this year’s theme. The event kicks off Sunday.
With a carnival of models in unique designer clothes strolling along Kuta beach, the Bali Fashion Week started with a route from Jalan Legian Melasti and ending on the beach in front of Hard Rock Hotel day 1.
The Balinese philosophy Tri Hita Karana, meaning “three of the harmony” is the main premise of the fashion designs for the week, integrating fashion in harmony, appreciation and respect for nature.
The theme can be seen in the creations of the top international and local participating designers. From Tuesday to Thursday, audiences will be treated to a series of fashion shows displaying casual, evening, and beach wear at the Lotus Pond in Garuda Wisnu Kencana cultural park.
The Bali Fashion Week 2008 runs from August 24 to 29.
