Gwen Stefani Designs for Oz

Gwen Stefani has done almost everything that can be done. She’s been the front person for a major rock group, she’s had major hits as a solo artist, she’s played the role of actress all while designing a popular fashion line. Stefani now has another notch to add under her belt. She is designing Dorothy’s Ruby Red slippers. That’s right, Stefani along with 19 other designers will design variations of Dorothy’s slippers from the Wizard of Oz. Other designers tapped to create the famous slippers include Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino and Oscar de la Renta.

The various designs will make an appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue during New York Fashion week. They will then go on tour all across America and finally be auctioned off to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
