Marilyn Monroe’s Fashion Line from the Grave

Meghan Hart

Bradford Licensing, a company known to revive brands using dead celebrity names has taken their passion for Marilyn Monroe and transformed it into a ready to wear line. The collection will feature the iconic actress’ style, panache and glamour when launched next year. While Marilyn Monroe branded items are everywhere, the first fully licensed items will begin rolling off the knitting lines next year. The collection will be less t-shirt oriented and more in the vein of ready to wear styling including dresses, coats and skirts.

Labeled Marilyn Monroe items will be created for Shaw Archives by Blues Clothing in the UK and the collection will be targeted to young adults. The President of Bradford Licensing remained tight lipped about the actual design direction for the new Marilyn Monroe collection but he did let slip that it may have a retro look and feel to it
