When Vivienne Westwood speaks the fashion world listens if only to find out what’s next from Dame Vivienne. This time Westwood has targeted Sex and the City. After seeing the film, Westwood was unrestrained in her criticisms of the fashion. While some may view similarities between Pat Fields and Vivienne Westwood, the choice of style may be dramatically different. Westwood commented that the Sex and the City mantra of cutting edge fashion left a little to be desired as everything was dull. Speaking to press, she said, “I thought ‘Sex and the City’ was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw. I went to the premiere and left after ten minutes.” Although rumors of a sequel persist chances are, she may not go to the premiere.
