Nicole Kidman Dropped from Chanel

Meghan Hart

Starting in 2009 Chanel No.5 fans will have to get used to seeing Amelie star Audrey Tautou as the face of the brand instead of actress Nicole Kidman. The film slash commercial featured high quality production values not typical for commercials, vibrant colors and Kidman alongside actor Rodrigo Santoro. An immediate reason was not given for the dumping of Kidman, but the more Chanel-like Tautou will fit in well with a commercial helmed by her Amelie directing co-hort Jean-Pierre Jeunet
