Vogue Italia Shoots First Edition with Non-White Models

The whispers are true. Steven Meisel has shot a complete issue of Vogue Italia featuring nothing but non-white white models. This sudden reverse was in response to constant mention of lack of diversity in the fashion industry. In fact, fashion shows in Milan and Paris have recently been the subject of persistent criticism owing to the exact lack of diversity that Meisel was looking to address. Showing up in the issue is current uber-model Jourdan Dunn. Meisel’s effort is also an attempt to have other fashion publications produce more diverse editions of their magazines.
