Fashion Week Leaving Bryant Park in 2011?

While this may be a bit on the premature side, the New York Daily News via Ben Widdicombe’s Gatecrasher column is suggesting that the fashion week event may move from midtown Manhattan’s Bryant Park to the same island’s yet to be built West Side rail yards. If you’re familiar with New York politics and who’s not at this point, the rail yards was set to be the place where a new football stadium was set to be built. Should fashion week actually move to the rail yards, there will be enough space. A New York City Economic Development Corporation spokesperson told Widdicombe that “Fashion Week could conceivably go [to the rail yards]. No decision has been made at this time as to how that space will be used.”
