Keith Richards becomes New Face of Louis Vuitton Mens

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has a new job: fronting Louis Vuitton men’s ads. While Richards is no stranger to mens fashion, it is the first time in known memory that he is actually in a fashion ad campaign. The ads, shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz are set to debut next month in fashion magazines. Richards is seen cradling his guitar on a bed in a hotel room with a shadowed effect going through the drapes of a skull-print in black. The ad copy states: “Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3am. Blues in C” Being the obscenely rich man that he is, Richards is going to donate the fee he received from the ads to Al Gore’s environmental organization, the Climate Project, which is also backed by Louis Vuitton. Richards joins an esteemed group of celebrities and power players who have appeared in Louis Vuitton ads including Mikhail Gorbachev, Scarlett Johansson, Catherine Deneuve and Uma Thurman.
