Spring Shoe Designer Roundup

Meghan Hart

Spring shoes are beginning to hit the shelves at retailers and online but the true must-haves may come from designers that may be flying under the collective fashion lover’s radar. There are three designers stateside that are fighting for our collective heart and soul. We outline the shoes coming from the Spring collections of these designers:

Loeffler Randall
Jessie Randall

Designer Jessie Randall may have all the trappings of a GAP inc alumni but the designer is truly setting a path all her own with a high end line of shoes started in 2004 and now expanding into bags and ready-to-wear. But the shoes are the true focus for Spring and the Loeffler Randall Spring collection is as strong as it has ever been. The Metallic Gathered T-Strap Sandal is a prime example of the strong direction for this Spring collection. The understated design is a prime example of the Loeffler Randall standard. The embossed snakeskin knotted flat is another great piece from the Spring collection of Leffler Randall. Not to be left out, the patent cut-out flat sandal is another great design. Visit the Loeffler Randall selection at Eluxury.

Tashkent
Cheyenne Morris

Tashkent is a web favorite. Ever since her first collection Cheyenne Morris’ Tashkent line has been the talk of every fashion blog, every fashion website and everything in between. Morris has embraced the attention while still keeping her Brooklyn roots. This season her collection contains accents from her past forays with mini twists and turns here and there. High notes from her collection this year include the Zidane (Pictured above), the Jolette, washed linen peep-toe toe heel with snap wrap enclosure. The Furguson is another strong number from her collection it is a washed linen peep-toe wedge with a wide mouth ankle. Her now-famous flats make an appearance as well, specifically the metal toe Crespo. Cheyenne Morris’ website can be found as www.tashkentnyc.com

Elizabeth Brady Shoes
Elizabeth Brady

Another designer in this field of new and fabulous is Elizabeth Brady. While not exactly new (Brady has been designing shoes for over 5 years), her collection is beginning to get looks from celebrities and the media alike. What separates an Elizabeth Brady shoe from others is the elegance and classic styling. The heels are usually high and ornately designed. Brady loves using Swarovski crystals, grossgrain fabrics, and the occasional silver grommet. Brady’s Spring collection continues this elegance with Genevieve and Sophia shoes. The Genevieve is a grey and white snakeskin with peep-toe cutouts. The Sophia is a grey and white snakeskin flat with silver trim. Another favorite around the Papierdoll office is the Emma. this classic round toe marine linen sling-back platform pimp with ivory trim is a need to have for the Spring.
