London Fashion Week Fall 2008 : Bernard Chandran

One collection I was excited to see this season was Bernard Chandran, and it did not disappoint. Marie Antoinette inspired pieces, her face appearing in diamante, on cuffs and broaches. The trousers were so wide you could have fitted a model in each leg! The colour pallet ran from inky black to electric blue, forest green and nudey flesh. Mini capes were used on almost every outfit, some growing into wizardey full length gowns. One garment that struck me was a bubble cape, in a cream coloured satin. Some striking editorial pieces, I’m convinced Chandran will acquire the fame in the UK that he already owns in Asia.
