Iodice’s sleek rocker edge returned to the runway yesterday, with bold looks in black, violet, silver and hot pink. The molded sleeves and draping off-the-shoulder styles from this season were taken up a notch when paired with super-short mini skirts and slim patent leather jackets.
The choice pieces from the collection, however, strayed a bit from the majority of the line. Streamlined, sleeveless black pant-suits were worn under fleecy, mustard-yellow sweaters: The combination was incredibly modern and chic, and the racer-back details added a tailored finish that was revealing but sophisticated. Also in the mustard-yellow fabric was a short but voluminous turtleneck dress — prominent yet not overpowering.
The glittering black and silver rose pattern — especially when put with the black knit cape — was a perfect blend of both styles for such an upbeat and spunky line.
