New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 : Ports 1961
Michelle Bell
I went to my first Ports 1961 show last season and from that point on, I vowed that I would go as long as I was invited. The invite came, I went and my vow remains, as long as Tia Cibani designs, I will follow. This season was another solid showing for the brand. There were a variety of strong pieces from the collection that shows why Ports is quickly becoming a must see show and more importantly a must-buy for Fall. Standout pieces include a sand colored dress with foldover flaps at the neck and a nice a belt made out of what appeared to be bamboo as a cinch. She wowed with a little black dress that had a sheer netting underneath the neck line, a red satin dress with over the shoulder strap created a gorgeous look that made the show a winner. Ports 1961 does it again.
