New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 : Carolina Herrera
Michelle Bell
Going to the Carolina Herrera show is always a treat and this season is no different. For Fall 2008 you can expect wide open countrysides from Carolina Herrera, classic luxury with plenty of embellishments to go around. Herrera started her show with a good handful of separates (a lot more than usual), riding pants and cashmere vests layered on top of printed chiffon blouses and continued with a good heaping of the luxurious dresses for which she is noted. My personal favorite was the long chartreuse chiffon dress that said less about the country and more about where to go at night in the city. But that was the genius behind Herrera’s collection, although it seemed inspired by days in the country wearing the collection in the city is just as fine and now we can’t wait for Fall.
