Alexandre Herchcovitch’s shows in the past have been bold to say the very least. They’ve broke convention when convention was expected during fashion week. One of our editor’s a couple of years ago compared Herchcovitch’s show that season to an unflattering movie. Needless to say genius can go misunderstood at times. This season there was no misunderstanding. Coming off of a brilliant show in Sao Paulo, the designer wowed again with vibrant colors, dark colors and intelligently placed patterns. The fabric used was light and free flowing for the majority of the show. It’s easy to say that possibly 80% of the show consisted of dresses or seperates that consisted of a top and a skirt. Herchcovitch made many happy for this show and the cash registers may applaud his genius come Autumn.
