New York Fashion Week Fall 2008 : Elie Tahari
Michelle Bell
Elegant Fall best describes Elie Tahari’s collection. the high waist skirts, the floral print sheer blouses accented with leather gloves all were decadent and elegant. Set against a backdrop of oversized large square photo frames, the still models made the collection all the more palpable. A runway show would have not done justice, seeing everything up close and personal made the collection much more accessible. Highlights from the men’s collection include a slim pant waffling between gray dress and quasi-casual denim with a white button down shirt that says Tahari is giving men options that existed in name only previously.
What set off the collection without argument was a stunning piece that sought your attention as soon as entering the room. A belted strapless top with a long slim skirt and matching purse made this the must have piece from the Tahari Fall collection. Simply wonderful.
