American Apparel founder, Dov Charney was slapped with a multi-million dollar sexual harassment suit. He’s had four lawsuits over a 7 year period for sexual harassment. His eccentric behavior includes self pleasure in front of a magazine reporter. According to a story in the LA Times published today, the accuser, former employee Mary Nelson, say that Charney created a hostile work environment by hurtling sexual insults, epithets, and “behaving in sexually inappropriate ways”.Most damning is this from the article:
Nelson, 36, who worked for American Apparel for a little more than a year, claims Charney also referred to women as “whores” and “sluts” and invited her to masturbate in front of him. Nelson’s suit alleges she was fired the day she consulted a lawyer.
