The long wait is over, fashionistas in San Francisco can now shop at their very own H&M. The company simultaneously opened two stores in the city. An estimated 1,000 eager shoppers stood in line for the opening at both stores to see if they could get their hands on the new Stella McCartney line. One shopper told the San Jose Mercury news about her ordeal to simply get into the store, “People were very vicious,” said Vivian Chong, a senior at UC Berkeley. “Girls pushed me aside and were running up the escalator. People were clawing for the McCartney `skinny jeans’ and pulling sweaters out of my arms.”
H&M plans to open another store in the Bay Area shortly.
