While London fashion week is smaller than New York, Paris and Milan the talk was definitely big when it came to the impact of Kate Moss’ admission of drug use.
Rachel Brettler, a spokeswoman for the British Fashion Council, which stages London Fashion Week told Bloomberg news that the talk, “detracted from a lot of creativity on the catwalk.”
The recent news around Moss’s drug use in combination with being dropped from H&M’s ad campaign, Burberry and Chanel made for sensational news yet less focus on the designs from Paul Smith, Betty Jackson et al.
