Do you have the desire to feel beautiful, sexy and ultra feminine?
This designer truly does that every day and she worked hard to create a line in which all women can feel this way day by day by day. Sometimes it takes just one garment to make you into the flirty girl or dreamy woman you want to be.
I want to introduce you to an independent designer who will stop at nothing to become known around the world. This is Tiffany McCall of her namesake Tiffany McCall Couture. Tiffany started her fashion career in Atlanta before moving to London to learn the ins and outs of becoming a well-rounded designer. She wanted to become someone who had what it took to create a garment from beginning to end. With this knowledge and experience, she has created a collection of one hundred garments that were shown at the Women’s Wear Daily Magic Show in Las Vegas from August 29 to September 1 2005.
This Spring/Summer 2006 collection is described best by its title: Romantic Collection. It was inspired by 1940s glamour and romanticism and is fun, feminine and flirty. The main palette of this collection is made up of pastels with darker colors used to enhance the delicate images on the pieces.
Tiffany has both a couture and a ready-to-wear division within her collection. The couture collection consists of the top fabrics, including silks and chiffon that create a luxurious and elegant look and feel. The ready-to-wear division is a collection of pieces that can be worn by anyone and for any occasion.
The fabrics were gathered from around the world and put together to make garments that do not look particularly American, European or Asian but a great mix that can be worn by anyone who has the desire to be feminine and to feel sexy. Fabrics were hand painted in London, the beadwork gathered from India, and the lace acquired from Solstice of Paris.
Tiffany seems to do it right by making her collection have an international feel and making a woman feel good in her garments. Only time will tell if this designer is going to make it in the increasingly competitive world of fashion, but I have a feeling she will not stop until she does!
