First Karl Lagerfeld and now Stella McCartney. The designer known more for her creative works than her celebrity father, is developing a line for retailer H&M.
The line will be launched with a major advertising campaign starring none other than Kate Moss. One of the initial items is a limited edition hand-embroidered jacket.
Remember the pandemonium that ensued when the Lagerfeld line came knocking on H&M’s doors? The McCartney line is set to do the same. The marketing folks at H&M have learned their lesson. The line will be available in only a third of carefully selected stores. There may even be a game of cat and mouse for shoppers to find the items. According to Women’s Wear Daily, shoppers will be directed via ads or the Internet to locations that stock the collection.
Prices range from $38 for blouses and $187 for jackets and coats. The line is set to launch this holiday season.
