While Gap has featured perfume products in the past, the company is getting ready to jump into the personal care and perfume industry with a two new lines.
The San Francisco based retailer will launch the lines at Banana Republic stores and flagship Gap stores. New York-based Inter Parfums will develop, make and package the perfume and other cosmetics.
The lines are scheduled to launch fall of 2006 for Banana Republic and 2007 for the Gap.
Gap will also be opening a new set of stores for the 35 and older female crowd called Forth and Towne. The 5 concept stores will open in New York and Chicago this fall.
