Various fashion designers including Bernhard Willhelm, Marina Yee and Spanish design duo Spastor have come together with a variety of others to create DAA – Designers Against Aids.
This organization sells a t-shirt/jersey based fashion line that sells to fashion, concept and music stores.
A portion of the sales will go to aids research at the Institute for Tropical Medicine in Antwerp/Belgium via the BWI foundation.
Stores in Berlin, Vienna, Munic, Antwerp, Paris, Warsaw, London, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Moscow and a variety of other cities will carry the DAA line.
According to DAA, “In every country where T-shirts are sold, DAA will link up with the local aids education organizations such as Aishilfe in Germany, Sensoain Belgiim, Stop Aids Now in the Netehrlands, etc. so they can bring stories to the media once the attention of young people has been drawn by the fashion, sports and/or music personalities who gvie their time and creativity to Designers against Aids.”
