Welcome to the second edition of Papierdoll! We appreciate the comments and suggestions received so far from readers, and encourage and welcome any and all feedback.
With the Memorial Day holiday out of the way, the unofficial start of summer is here. This month we embrace the season and all that comes with it. Each week in June, our writers put together some things we feel are “essential” for the hot months to come. Papierdoll wants you to look and feel great, and hope that we are helpful.
We will also sit down and speak with two wonderful young designers.
Jane Pope of Balboa Designs, talks to us about her stunning line of jewelry. Based in South Carolina, Jane is featured in magazines such as Elle, and Marie Claire. You can find her jewelry in stores like Barney’s and Luxe.
Our second designer spotlight is Russell Songco. If you don’t know the name of Russell Songco, you will. Russell has turned a classic into a modern staple for women’s wardrobes.
Keeping with our fondness for classic fashion, our retro feature this month covers a true classic, Coco Chanel. One could say she defined fashion for her time and ours.
With the summer comes a stronger sun, so we spoke to top make-up artists. They offered their tips on keeping every type of skin in check during this time of year. Our next beauty update will focus on hair tips for humid days.
Finally, check out our dollshop. Artist Magda Zakovska designed a variety of shirts and bags featuring her characters exclusively for Papierdoll. It is a limited edition release and a must-have for the summer.
The updates are bi-weekly and news daily, keeping the site fresh for all your visits.
Have a happy June!
